Pastor Gail Has used healing principles found in God’s Word since 2008. She has taught in Churches, jails, singles groups. She was also a minister at the Fort Pierce Florida Healing Rooms.
In 2015 in Oshawa and Ottawa Ontario a small group of family, friends, and our new ministry stood on God’s Word and stormed the courtroom of heaven for a 34 yr old that suddenly died. God raised him fom the dead!! He is our healer!

UNDERSTANDING STEPS TO FREEDOM
Dr. Caroline Leaf says that up to 98% of mental and physical disease is from our thoughts! Medical science says we can have up to 60,000 thoughts a day! This is where the battle begins.
Thoughts come in via Theta brain waves. They can be from God, ourselves, or the enemy. We must be like an umpire and cast out the thoughts that do not line up with scripture.
If we meditate on the bad thoughts they become part of our anatomy a process called protein synthesis. The enemy can use this later and resurrect thoughts, emotions, even smells to get a person to participate with sin.
Your genes get turned on and off every day by your thoughts and their intertwined beliefs and feelings.
You cannot hide stuffed feelings, memories, or unforgiveness. Your hypothalamus is a scanner! It will scan everything hidden or not. Then chemicals (Molecules of emotion) are produced accordingly, making an imbalance in the body which can lead to disease.
Disease can be prevented if we deal with the fear, guilt, and shame from the enemy.
Instead of using remedies of science (disease management) to bypass the natural consequences of sin, (The cause) we must run to God in repentance/forgiveness, so we may be healed.
Sin separates us from God, ourselves, and others. This produces the fruit of fear, guilt, and shame.
A good way to sniff out hidden bitterness or unforgiveness is to see if there are any regrets or pain in a memory. If they are there be assured bitterness and unforgiveness are hiding.
Remember When We
Forgive (Ourselves, others or God) (Many have blamed God for things that have come from the devil) it takes away Anger Hatred Resentment Bitterness
Repent and Renounce (For our participation with shame guilt regret sorrows and also in our generations) it takes away Shame Guilt Regret Sorrows
Bitterness steals your JOY
Unforgiveness robs your PEACE
Fear will not let you give or receive LOVE
When God says in his word to take our thoughts captive, it is not just a suggestion.
He knows how negative thoughts from the enemy can do us harm.
(So we see the Word, say the Word, hear the Word!!)
Verse 21 says DONOT let God’s Words depart from your sight!
Some tidbits listed below from Dr. Caroline leaf……..
When the left prefrontal cortex is developed you won’t get so upset by anger, shame, sorrow, depression and events you cannot control. (Speak wholeness to this area in Jesus’s mighty name)
Meditation on the Word of God develops circuits in the left prefrontal cortex which when activated increase a positive attitude.
Science has discovered that your mind reads your body and your body reads your mind.
Thought patterns have been shown to turn genes “on” or “off”.
Chemicals catalyzed by our mental activity can interact with our genes in a powerful way.
Our genes are open to being influenced throughout our lifetime by what we think, feel, believe, say and do.
Genes are not the final answer.
Romans 12:2 you can renew your mind because your brain is neuroplastic – it can change!
Think on good things – it’s healthy! Philippians 4:8
When we detox our thoughts we improve our emotional wholeness.
Every memory you make has a corresponding emotion attached to it, which is stored in your brain and as a “photocopy” in your body’s cells.
Chemicals of your body are like cellular signals that translate information of your thoughts into a physical reality in your body & mind.
Toxic thoughts and emotions prevent your immune system from doing what it was designed to do naturally.
Taking this to a deeper level, research shows that DNA actually changes shape according to our thoughts. As you think those negative thoughts about the week ahead that hasn’t happened yet, or that person who hasn’t actually said or done anything yet, or you have pain in a memory which indicates unforgiveness and bitterness, the toxic thinking (a product of fear) has changed your brain wiring in a negative direction (protein synthesis) and thrown your mind and body into stress, anxiety, and fear.
According to Dr. Herbert Benson, MD, and president of Harvard Medical School’s Mind-Body Institute (http://www.massgeneral.org/bhi/research/
), toxic thoughts lead to stress (fear), which affects our body’s natural healing capacities.
The words you speak feed back into the trees of the mind (black sickly trees for wrong thoughts and lush green trees for good thoughts) E.g.: when you make a negative statement, you release negative chemicals, these lead to negative memories that grow stronger and they grow into negative strongholds that control your attitude and life and affect others!
- Gen 4:7 If you do well, will not your countenance be lifted up? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door; and its desire is for you, but you must master it.”
- Do you know that we have a door to every cell in our body? The enemy of our soul looks for a open door or legal ground.
Toxic thinking literally ‘wears down’ the brain and the rest of the body! It causes inflammation. Inflammation is listed in (Deut 28:22 under curses for disobedience)
I want to make you aware of how your thoughts not only affect you, but also your family and children and even as far down as your great great grandchildren! Science is showing us that the life experiences, thoughts and decisions of grandparents and even great-grandparents change their eggs and sperm so indelibly (even up to 8 months before conception Thomas Verny M.D.)
This can be passed onto their children up to 4 generations…this sounds a lot like the scripture “The iniquities of the father reach to the third and fourth generations”! Science is finally catching up with the bible. Dr. Caroline Leaf
Taking our thoughts captive is the key for overcoming. (The negative black trees can be reversed in 7-21 days with positive thinking and renewing the mind with God’s Word)
A COMMON STUMBLING BLOCK OF THE ENEMY IS FEAR/UNBELIEF AS A SOCIETY IT HAS BECOME ACCEPTABLE AND RENAMED AS ANXIETY AND STRESS
WHAT ARE SOME categories of Fear? *Anger *Hate *Guilt *Resentment *Rejection *Abandonment *Needing Approval *Overwhelmed/Burdened *Disappointment *Dread
FIVE AREAS FEAR CAN GET IN
Most feelings that cause discomfort and uneasiness can be traced back to one or more of these fears listed above.
Fear will affect tissues of the skin, nervous system, electrical system of the heart, and the cardio vascular area directly.
Guilt Anger & Bitterness affects the musculoskeletal system. (Bone marrow)
Shame affects the intestines and the endocrine system
REMEMBER GOD HASEN’T GIVEN US A SPIRIT OF FEAR BUT OF POWER LOVE AND A SOUND MIND
(Phil 4:6-7) (2TIM1:7) the opposite of fear/unbelief is faith. The one that is practiced will be the one that is in our future!
Power is the Holy Spirit… A sound mind is Jesus… Love is God the Father
See fear in bible verse below. IT IS A SIN listed with murderers, idolaters, and liars.

Once unforgiveness is in place then in comes the armor that holds bitterness in place. Each one of these is progressive and much more dangerous! Each one is set in place as armor to hold bitterness in its place. Each one is progressive and stronger.
Unforgiveness (I remember what you did/instant replay/record of wrongs)(Ferments)
Resentment (I do not only remember I resent you for it) (Never want to forgive U)

Tim 5:12-14 and so incur condemnation for having abandoned their former faith. Besides that, they learn to be idlers, going about from house to house, and not only idlers, but also gossips and busybodies, saying what they should not. So I would have younger widows marry, bear children, manage their households, and give the adversary no occasion for slander.
Prov 25:18 a man who bears false witness against his neighbor is like a war club, or a sword, or a sharp arrow
Psalm 101:5 whoever slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. Whoever has a haughty look and an arrogant heart, I will not endure.

CURSES ARE SUSPECT IN MANY CASES
Seven Indications of a Curse (Derek Prince Free Online Article)
- Number one. Mental and emotional breakdowns.
- Number two. Repeated or chronic sicknesses—especially if they’re hereditary. The very word hereditary should alert you maybe there’s a curse coming from generation to generation.
- Number three. Repeated miscarriages or related female problems. I think Ruth would agree with me that since we came to understand this we have seen scores and scores of women with problems like that released from them simply when they’re dealt with as a curse. If you care to read Deuteronomy 28 you’ll find that Moses viewed them the same way.
- Number four. The breakdown of marriage and family alienation. Now one divorce in a family isn’t necessarily indicative but if a family’s whole history is divorces and the breakdown of family relationships and alienations, I personally would say you can be sure there’s a curse over that family.
- Number five. Continuing financial insufficiency—especially where the income appears sufficient. Now if you happen to be short of money or poor for a time that’s not necessarily a curse.
- But if you’re always in that situation you need to be checking. Especially if according to the books your income should be sufficient. Let me tell you this little story, it always amuses me. A certain lady in the States got hold of my teaching and wrote me and said, “I believe there’s a curse over my husband’s family.” I wrote back and said to her, “Tell me why you believe there’s a curse over your husband’s family.” She wrote back and said, “My husband’s estate runs into hundreds of millions of dollars. Our annual income is a million dollars and we never have enough money.” I said, “I’m convinced!” Actually, there were other indications when we got down to it besides that.
- The next one is accident prone—which is statistically diagnosable. You’ll find that insurance companies will charge you a higher premium if they diagnose you as being accident prone. Again, it alone alerts me the moment I find out.
- Finally, a history of suicides or unnatural deaths in a family.
Curse = Uttering a wish of evil against anyone; to call for mischief or injury to fall upon; to bring evil upon or to vex, harass or torment
Biblical definition: God’s recompense upon the iniquity of the fathers unto the bosom of the children causing sorrow of heart and opening the door for evil spirits, giving them a legal right to persecute and destroy lives

Words spoken to you as a child by your parents or others. Parents’ confessions about their children are very detrimental. (You are dumb, stupid, fat, lazy, ugly, and skinny, you will never amount to anything, you are good for nothing, etc.) A child hears, begins to believe what he hears, agrees with it, speaks it and then a stronghold is developed. “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7)
Refuse to speak negative words about yourself or others. When someone speaks something negative about you, refuse to receive it and renounce it in the Name of Jesus.

WHAT ARE THE SPIRITUAL PRINCIPLES BY WHICH CURSES OPERATE?
No curse without a cause. Proverbs 26:2b
Sin opens the door for curses to enter. Jeremiah 11:3, 4
A curse is a spiritual problem and cannot be remedied by natural means. Malachi 3:8-12 the sin root must be removed through repentance and obedience before the curse can be lifted. Matthew 18:21-35
The power of a curse is Satanic and demonic. Genesis 3:14, 15; 4:1-7; I Samuel 16:14; II Corinthians 10:3-5
The law provided no remedy for curses. Galatians 3:10; Exodus 20:5; Deuteronomy
32:2; Joshua 7:24, 25; Hebrews 12:17
Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law. He became our Substitute by taking the penalty upon Himself. Galatians 3:13; I Peter 2:24
Christ’s provision must be appropriated. The full provision of the cross is not encompassed by the new birth at salvation. Healing and deliverance are also provisions of His atonement (Matthew 8:16, 17). Beware of deception in thinking that a Christian cannot be under a curse or have a demon. Grace does not mean that one can sin with impunity. Grace means that God has provided a remedy.
HOW CAN ONE BE SET FREE FROM THE CURSES OF DISOBEDIENCE?
Through the word of your testimony (Revelation 12:11; 17). The testimony of Christ is your confession that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who became Flesh; He committed no sin; He laid down His life on the cross; arose from the dead; ascended into Heaven and is coming again in all of His glory.
Repent of all your sins of disobedience (known and unknown), asking God to forgive you through Jesus Christ.
HATE THE SIN!!
Accept God’s forgiveness of your sins and forgive yourself.
Renounce the sins of your forefathers.
Forgive all others who have ever wronged or hurt you.
Renounce all contact with anything occult or satanic. Destroy all associated paraphernalia.
Call upon the Lord Jesus Christ to deliver you.
Cast out every demon or curse in the Name of Jesus. Be as specific as possible. Note:
As a believer, you have authority to cast out demons.
Receive the blessing. Walk in obedience to God, and ask those in authority over you (for example: fathers, husbands, pastors) to bless you. The Levitical blessing prescribed by God is recommended:
The Lord bless thee and keep thee: The Lord make His face shine upon thee, And be gracious unto thee:
The Lord lift up His countenance upon thee,
And give thee peace. (Numbers 6:22-26)
By Frank Hammond
The Bible identifies sixty-six specific sins which result in curses. Although the list is very informative, it is not intended to provide a complete inventory on sin curses. In fact, any disobedience to God’s commandments merits a curse: “CURSED IS THE MAN WHO DOES NOT UPHOLD THE WORDS OF THIS LAW BY CARRYING THEM OUT.”
Many of God’s people are struggling against adversities and evils in their lives, not recognizing that their problems are due to sin curses. The big door through which curses enter is labeled “SIN”. Sin is disobedience to God’s commandments, and partial obedience is disobedience. Remember King Saul. When he was partially obedient, God declared that his rebellion was as the sin of witchcraft.
How can one know if he is under a curse? First of all, has one despised God, refusing to hearken to His voice? God’s blessings come to those who are doers of His Word. But curses come upon all who “will not hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all His commandments and His statutes.” (Deuteronomy 18:15).
As a starter, disobedience to God includes idolatry (including books and objects in one’s possession that are directly associated with the works of Satan); occult practices; disrespect and disobedience toward parents: injustice, hardness and oppression of the weak (widows, orphans and the handicapped); perverted sexual activity of all types (bestiality, incest, homosexuality and adultery); anti-Semitism; legalism; carnality; lying and stealing; oaths and pledges that invoke cures or bind one in unholy soul ties (such as are encountered in lodges, fraternities and sororities).
Secondly, a person can compare his life with the blessings God has promised to those who love Him. If one is not blessed, he is cursed. How does your life measure up to the blessings enumerated in Deuteronomy 28:1-14? Are you “set on high” by God? A lender and not a borrower? The head and not the tail? Is your life characterized by fruitfulness? Do you prosper – coming and going? Are you free from the harassment of enemies – both natural and spiritual? Is your life a success? Is your relationship with God gratifying – knowing and fulfilling His purposes? These are earmarks of a blessed life. If one is not enjoying the blessings then he is suffering the curse. There is not in-between.
A third way to determine if curses are in operation is to look for the effects of curses. Common effects are poverty, barrenness, pestilence, chronic sickness, failure, defeat, humiliation, insanity, torment, perpetual traumas, spiritual hindrances and domination by others.
More on Curses…
“Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us.” (Galatians 3:13)
The Apostle Paul said in I Corinthians 16:22, “If anyone does not love the Lord, let him be accursed.” In the 14th chapter of John, Jesus said that obedience proves our love for Him. Psalms 81:15 says that those who hate the Lord pretend obedience to Him.
Luke 6:46 (ESV) 46 “Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?
Luke 8:21 (ESV) 21 But he answered them, “My mother and my brothers are those who hear the word of God and do it.”
Luke 11:28 (ESV) 28 But he said, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and keep it!”
John 8:51 (ESV) 51 Truly, truly, I say to you, if anyone keeps my word, he will never see death.”
John 14:15 (ESV) 15 “If you love me, you will keep my commandments.
John 15:10 (ESV) 10 If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love.
John 15:14 (ESV) 14 You are my friends if you do what I command you.
A curse has been defined as: uttering a wish of evil against anyone; to imprecate evil; to call for mischief or injury to fall upon; to execrate, to bring evil upon or to blast, vex, harass or torment with great calamities.
The Bible refers to us as trees (Psalm 1; Matthew 7:17-20). Jesus said that good trees produce good fruit and bad trees produce bad fruit. Because the fig tree in Mark 11:1314, 20-21 was fruitless, Jesus spoke a curse upon it. Let there be no doubt that curses are real today, causing many problems in the lives of Christians. Revelation 22:3 tells us when the curses will end (at the end of the age).
The Scriptures teach us that death and life are in the power of the tongue and there is no neutral word. God watches over His Word to perform it and, when we speak words that do not line up with the Word of God, then we are speaking death. Words are more than just sounds on the lips. Words are agents sent forth for good or evil. (Read James 3:112; Proverbs 12:13-14; Proverbs 11:9; Proverbs 18:20-21; Proverbs 15:4; Proverbs 10:11, 21; Proverbs 21:23; Proverbs 12:6, 18; Matthew 12:34-37; Mark 7:15).
Read Deuteronomy 27 through 30 about the blessings and curses. These blessings and curses were set in motion by being spoken aloud (Deuteronomy 27:13-26).
Jesus Christ died on the cross to give us salvation and to become a curse for us; yet, we are not automatically saved. To be saved we have to enter into covenant with the Lord Jesus Christ by repenting of our sins and by making Him Lord and Master of our lives.
Although we received the Holy Spirit at the time of our conversion, we are also not automatically filled or baptized with the Holy Spirit. We have to ask for it. As believers, we must appropriate His victory in our lives is we are to enjoy the benefits.
Let me illustrate. Someone can bequeath you a fortune but very often you must go through quite a few steps before it is experientially yours. Someone may contest your claim.
It is one thing to have the legal right and another thing to have the experiential enjoyment. Satan is a crooked lawyer on the other side who will do everything he can to cheat you out of what is rightfully yours in Christ.
Jesus left you so much more than a fortune but how much are you actually enjoying? Let me put it another way. Suppose someone deposited a million dollars into your checking account at the bank. Would it do you any good if you failed to write a check on the account even though the money was legally yours? Of course, it wouldn’t. We have to know our legal rights and assert our claims.
Many Christians are missing out on the abundant life that Jesus died to give them because of a lack of knowledge of God’s Word. God says, “My people perish (are destroyed) for lack of knowledge.” (Hosea 4:6; Proverbs 11:9).
There are some who would say that, since Jesus became a curse for us, Christians cannot have curses. Deuteronomy 28 clearly teaches that sickness and confusion are curses; yet, we know Christians can get sick today and live their lives in confusion.
I Corinthians 11:27-32 says that, if we take the Lord’s Supper with sin in our lives, we can get sick, weak, be under control of the enemy of our souls, or even die. That is not a blessing but it is God’s judgment against sin which is all that curses are.
Galatians 5:16-21 (ESV) 16 But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. 17 For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do.
18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law.
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, 21 envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
1 John 1:6 (ESV) 6 If we say we have fellowship with him while we walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth.
To summarize, just as mentioned previously; Jesus did die at Calvary for salvation and became a curse for us, and our sin, yet, many people are not saved. Why? They have not appropriated, taken, received, believed, what Jesus has accomplished for all. We must believe in order to be saved, we must know and come to understand what our inheritance in Christ is and we must receive it by faith. We do not just have these blessings “happen” to us; we have a part in our relationship with Christ. And in so doing, we are able to discern curses and be set free from their bondage. Let us study the Scriptures, pray and be filled with His Holy Spirit, the Spirit who “teaches us all things” according to God’s Word. (John 14:26).
Jesus said: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.”
Prayer of release from a curse Derek Prince
“Lord Jesus Christ, I believe that you are the Son of God and the only way to God that you died on the cross for my sins and rose again from the dead. That on the cross you were made a curse with every curse that is due to me, that I might be redeemed from the curse and enter into the blessing. Lord, I confess any sins committed by me or by my ancestors. I ask your forgiveness. I also forgive every other person whoever harmed me or wronged me. I forgive them as I would have God forgive me. I also forgive myself. I renounce all contact with the occult in any form and I commit myself to get rid of any ‘contact objects.’ And now Lord, having received by faith your
forgiveness, with the authority I have as a child of God, I now release myself and those under my authority from any curse over our lives. Right now, in the name of Jesus, I declare release. I claim it and I receive it by faith. In the name of Jesus.”
Now begin to thank Him, that’s the surest expression of faith. Thank you Lord, thank you Lord, thank you Lord Jesus. Thank you, thank you
Now let’s make our good confession. Now I believe you’re fully entitled to say this. You know what we’re going to say? Are you ready?
“Through the sacrifice of Jesus on the cross we have passed out from under the curse and entered into the blessing of Abraham whom God blessed in all things.”
Now just take a little while to thank the Lord, that’s the simplest expression of faith. Thank you Lord Jesus. Thank you Lord. Remember, you’ve made the U-turn, now continue right in the new direction.
