That was the loaded question hurled at me on Facebook when we announced Living Proof Reno.
My immediate reaction was to scream, “Jesus is the healer not me!” And to challenge the asker: “do you sincerely want an answer to your question? If you deeply yearn to know why Jesus doesn’t empty hospitals today—ask Him. If your heart is honest, He’ll answer you…but His answer will bring a whole lot more than you bargained for.”
I know this guy doesn’t want an answer…he just wants to bash my faith and our outreach. But maybe you want an answer.
The idea of everyone being healed at an event—hospital or otherwise—is not irrational or unreasonable and deserves to be understood. Especially when you consider these verses:
Matthew 12:15 “But when Jesus knew it, He withdrew from there. And great multitudes followed Him, and He healed them all.”
