I have waited until now in order to answer this question, having now gained a better perspective. My delay is modeled after the verses that follow. They took place as Job sat with his friends who were trying to help him make sense of the horrific ordeal that had befallen him. Being younger that the three friends of Job, Elihu listened and stayed quiet as long as he could, then he finally spoke:
“So Elihu, the son of Barachel the Buzite, answered and said: “Iamyounger in years, and youarevery old; therefore, I was afraid, and dared not declare my opinion to you.” I said,“Age should speak, and multitude of years should teach wisdom.” Butthere isa spirit in man, andthe breath of the Almighty gives him understanding. Greatmen are notalwayswise, nor do the agedalwaysunderstand justice” (Job 32:6-9).
